This discussion group is an opportunity to share ideas, experiences and practical solutions around laboratory design, with a particular focus on the needs of laboratory users.

Bring along your photos, plans, layouts, designs or examples and share what has worked well in your facility — and what you would do differently next time.

We'll explore topics such as laboratory workflow, equipment placement, storage, gowning and PPE areas, sample and waste movement, ergonomics, maintenance access, decontamination and other design considerations that can make a real difference to the day-to-day operation of a laboratory.

This is an open and collaborative discussion, not a formal presentation. Whether you are a laboratory user, biosafety professional, facility manager, engineer, designer or researcher, come along to share your experience, ask questions and learn from others.
