2026 ABSANZ Annual Conference Call for Abstracts

Dear Colleagues, 

We are thrilled to announce the 14th ABSANZ Conference: "Shaping the Biosafety and Biosecurity Guardians of Tomorrow", will be held at the Pullman Hotel, Albert Park, Melbourne from the 27th to the 31st of July 2026. 

We warmly invite you to submit your abstracts for consideration. This year, we are excited to explore the diverse array of biosafety and biosecurity developments, initiatives, experiences, impacts and best practice ideas that unite our community. 

We welcome abstracts on a broad range of topics related to biosafety, biocontainment and biosecurity. If you have a compelling idea or an interesting experience to share that could benefit our community, we encourage you to submit an abstract for presentation. 

We are eager to receive submissions from researchers, practitioners, and industry experts who are at the forefront of biosafety and biosecurity advancements, challenges, and developments. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your insights and ideas with your colleagues and contribute to the ongoing dialogue on continual improvements in biosafety and biosecurity across Australia, New Zealand, and around the globe. 

Submission Guidelines: 

• Abstracts should be no more than 300 words. 

• Include the title, author(s), and affiliation(s). 

• Include headshot if you wish your photo be included on our presenters page on our conference website. 

• Submit your abstract by 20th February 2026 via the ABSANZ conference website.
