Global research Agenda for Evidence-Based Biosafety
LAUNCHING A GLOBAL RESEARCH AGENDA FOR EVIDENCE-BASED BIOSAFETY
Deloitte Consulting LLP, are launching a global research agenda to advance evidence-based biosafety, funded by the U.S. Department of State (DOS/ISN/NDF). This project was born out of a “G7 Experts’ Meeting on Strengthening Laboratory Biorisk Management” in 2020, which recommended launching international experts’ workshops to develop such a research agenda.
The project aims to understand where empirical data could strengthen current biosafety practices, and, for those practices, to identify high priority research topics. We’re hosting a series of collaborative workshops with the global scientific community to solicit data needs and shape experiments, and the results of those discussions will feed directly into the research agenda.
