Purpose of Group:

These informal, agenda-free meetings provide a space to discuss real-world operational challenges and exchange advice, feedback, and insights. The group offers a supportive forum for sharing knowledge, expanding professional networks, and gaining practical operational perspectives.

It is designed as a peer-to-peer environment where members can learn from real-world experiences and support one another.

• No formal agenda and no minutes

• Discussion-based, with topics driven by the group

• Focused on operational aspects of facility management

• No regulators, consultants, or suppliers involved

• Confidentiality respected — please be mindful of sensitive information shared.

• The journey from researcher or laboratory technician to facility manager

• Where facility managers find support or guidance

• Gaps in the facility management resource toolkit

• The easiest and most challenging parts of the facility manager role
