Biosafety, biosecurity and biocontainment professionals have a wealth of experience in the containment and management of infectious microorganisms. The policies and practices which keep laboratory and pathology staff, as well as the environment and community safe, have never been more needed.
Biosafety has become the new norm. In recent months biosafety has become a globally recognized and valued practice. However, biosafety is only as effective as the lengths to which people embrace and promote it. The ABSANZ Summit will provide an opportunity for biosafety professionals, health service, pathology and community members to explore many aspects of biosafety with Australian, New Zealand and international leaders.
This three-day event consists of exciting keynote sessions given by eminent speakers. Keynotes sessions will be followed by interactive chat rooms for spin off topics and discussions. In addition, a series of webinars will be accessible each day and exhibitors will be available online to discuss new and efficient ways in meeting your biocontainment needs.
We thank all of our presenters, sponsors and exhibitors for contributing their time to both this Summit and the field of biosafety. We also thank the ABSANZ Conference Committee, the Board and the conference managers, for their hard work, ingenuity, flexibility and good humour.
On behalf of the ABSANZ Conference Committee and the Board of Directors we warmly welcome you. We are delighted that you have taken the opportunity to meet and discuss current issues and solutions.
By people like you joining ABSANZ we build expertise and collaboration, consistency across the regulatory environment, high quality educational tools, networking opportunities and advocate for biosafety in our community and the environment on both sides of the ditch. If you are not already a member of ABSANZ, we warmly invite you to join us. By coming together, sharing knowledge and enthusiasm, we can achieve the best outcomes for our work, and for Australia and New Zealand.
